Oh My God, This is the hardest thing I have ever done!

Well what can I say apart from this is the hardest thing I have ever done. Wake up at 6 ready for a morning stretch and warm up (which I will say is pretty hard), 7am breakfast that contains very little, like a small bowl of seeds and plain muslie. 8am we are back out for a 3 mile walk followed by an 1.5 hours of core work a little jogging and warm down ready for our morning snack, something like a rice cake, we then go back and do circuits or asult course till lucn then more walking or more circuits and core. We finsish between 5.30 and 6pm with a very small dinner and caffine is not allowed at anytime!

I have to mention a lot of people here. The girls that I am with, weather weekenders or a full week are very aspiring. We exercise together, we eat together we laugh together, we gee each other on, and most of all, when we are feeling a little low, we pick each other up and give each other a tissue. Now that is support and I think that some very special friendships will be made during this week.

Now the instructors have to be called Staff. We have Staff P and Staff W. I have to say that they really push you, but most of all they motivate you. I had a bit if an emotional wobble this morning and the encouragement I got from the Staffs were fantastic. I now have a great deal of respect for each of them, and the way they vary things is great.

On the down side, we can feel every muscle, we are in pain, everything hurts, I have blisters on my feet, blisters between my boobs but I can already feel my fitness levels start to come through. I have achieved things in two days that I never thought I would achieve in my life. It may be a lot of money, but it is worth every penny.

Right I am off for a nice hot bath to relax my muscles as as soon as I stand up I will have seized up!

TiIl tomorrow

Getting ready for GI Jane Camp

Well I have spent an arm and a leg getting things for camp including waterproofs etc etc. I am now feeling very nervous about Friday and wondering if I have made a very grave mistake...... I am sure that I will be fine though!

The people at the camp have been really nice to me and assured me that I will xome out feeling positive and ready to bring on the rest of the weight loss challenge.

On Thursday Richie is going down to the camp to meet Carol (the owner) and one of the PT intructors for an interview and they will be taking him through his paces, and then they hope for Richie to joinme for a day later on in the week!

This weekend has been a little off the rails so I need to get back on track from now till boot camp. I am in Sheffield tomorrow, Manchester Tuesday, Bracknell Wednesday, Uxbridge Thursday........... At some point I will get a chancde to pack!

Will blog tomorrow night from the Hotel. Till then, speak soon x

Back from Madrid

Well what a few days that was. Far to much drink, very little to eat and poor old James smashed a few teeth.

The food was terrible, every veg was pickled, all the meat was cured or raw (espcially the chicken).and the wine was vinegar. Just wish that I didn't manage to drink so much of the vinegar!!!

So looking forward to GI Jane Boot Camp next Friday so off the booze now till I go then a week off it when I am there!!!! That will be the longest I have gone without for years!

So off to weigh my self in a moment then have a nice early night. Tomorrow I have to shop for all my GI Jane gear otherwise I will be going there with nothing!!!

Speak later :-)

Off to Madrid

Well it's 3.30am and I am off to Madrid with work for 3 days. I wouldn't have minded only on Monday night my back deciede to do one and last night/this morning i have barely slpet due to spasms. The good thing is that I won't be drinking as I am taking tramadol, the bad thing is I have to walk round Madrid all day today taking photos. Not to sure how bad my back will get!

Oh well, as long as it is OK for next Friday!

So I did a little interview on the Absolute Breakfast show yesterday morning about Richie coming to Zumba and it was really very funny. I am also confused about what playing a trumpet and Zumba have in common, but horses for courses LOL.

We also discussed the GI Jane Boot Camp that I go to next week and Christian thought it was expensive. I think it is a brilliant gift to ones self, you could even call it selfish but it is an investment in me!

Well speak to you all soon!

The day after Richie came to Zumba

Well what a day yesterday was. First I had to be in SHeffield for 8.30am which meant a really early start then had to be back for the Zuma class that Richie from Absolute was attending. What great fun it was to. I wasn;t convinced that he thought it would be tiring but I think that he has changed his mind now.

It was a hard night and I have pulled a muscle in my back and in loads of pain now. Not looking foward to getting on a plain early tomorrow. Actually, I am not even sure how the hell I am going to even beable to get the suitcase out of the loft. I may need to call ona few friends tonight for help! Any offers please feel free to call me!

So off to Madrid for 3 days, and at least I will be off the booze cause I can't drink with tramadol.

Did anyone hear my interview on the breakfast show today? If not go to www.facebook/christianoconnell and you can watch Richie do Zumba.

Still looking forward to GI Jane Boot Camp only my back is in peices so hopefully it will be better by then with a little accupuncture and cupping....... Thanks for the cupping tip Sonja will pop down there today and see if they can see me.

Speak soon all and good luck

What a weekend

Well I slightly slipped off the wagon on the way of Alchole after hearing some very bad news about a friend, however, I didn;t eat so saved some calories there!

So 3lb lost so far and not really very pleased with that so I am really looking forward to going to GI Jane boot Camp on the 24th. I really need some motivation and am losing heart rapidly!

Working in Sheffield today and been good and brought a big bottle of water for the journey so that I wouldn't want to pick and that worked really quite well. At the office tomorrow and in Madird with work till friday then. I will try my hardest to keep away from the booze but no promises!

PLease give em some motivation I need it!!!!!

Big kises to Danielle who went back to hospital on Saturday. SOrry for not making it I had some bad news :-(

Looking forward to seeing Tracey tonight it has been so long since we caught up. I know that she will motivate me in a big way so looking forward to it :-)

To all the girls at Zumba tonight, Richie will be coming along tonight so be prepared!

Speak soon and will send some info over from Madrid on how well (or may be not) I am doing

Take care all

After the weekend

Well I have to say that i as reasonably good over the weekend! I had the Double Header at Twickers with my Dad and Bill, an all day event that I managed to drink only 4 pints in an 8 hour period which is totally unheard of, then to Kirk and Kaitlyns wedding reception with Helen where by I have to admit I must of had from start to finish after popping out afterwards about 10 large VAT's with diet tonic though.

So all in all very good I feel. I have been really good with my diet apart from a beef pasty at teh rugby and that was only due to the fact they had no other option.

Sunday I was really good as well or should say I was finally good on Sunday. Anyhow, back at work now and things back to normal after a week off. Am on the radio tomorrow morning with the other parts of the Flab 4 and Richie, where we have a doctor to advise us on healthy eating etc. SO if you can listen in between 8-9 on Absolute Radio 105.8 FM

Speak to you soon

Lunch time

Mmmmmm had wholemeal pita with salad and chicken with Danielle about 10 cups of tea and now need sleep! Must start to get used to this portion thing though!

So GI Jane Boot Camp has been fully confirmed and will be starting on Friday 24th for 7 days. I have got my lit list which includes

Waterproofs
More waterproofs
Even more waterproofs
Gloves, both warm and.... you guessed it, a waterproof pair
Sports bra - (A few) total necessary for a bust of 36K
Walking boots... Yes waterproof ones
Trainers etc.

Do you think they are expecting rain???

Have a look on the website

http://www.gijanebootcamp.co.uk/

This is going to be my best and worse week ever but it is 100% selfishly invested in me :-)

Tips so far

OK so I have had some good tips so far over the last couple 10 days so thought that I would add them

To help me sleep avoid caffine and drink Twinings a moment of calm: Camomile, Honey and Vanilla - Cheers Danielle, it is working a treat

Cut down on your beer - Cheers Jenni, although this could be to the detriment of your business x x

Cereal Bars - Cheers Mhari, great snacks although I have to be carefull which ones I have as some are full of sugar.

Walk every where: Lindsey Lindsey, so good they named her twice and she is the living proof of how much difference walking can make to your weight

Other tips, have some great friends that make you laugh even though you just want to screem and raid the corner shop for every block of Galaxy and packet of Hola Hoops. Oh yes and not forgetting when you are desperate to go down the pub and know that you can't!

Wednesday

I forgot to mention how nice the breakfst team were yesterday! I also booked my GI Jane camp for the 24th of this month and I am dreading it massivlely!

I have to say all this exercise is bad for your health!. I went for 9 mile walk round the Great Park geocaching caches that I haven't found yet and managed to get myself well and truly sunburnt! SO now am sitting here not sure if I am hot or cold. Got back and fell asleep pn the sofa with a crick neck....typical.

Well I am going to have a good nights sleep and get up and go to the leisure centre and exercise!!!

Night peeps

After the Bank holiday weekend and meeting the Breakfast Team

Well I had to take a couple of days off for the blog to ensure that I had enough time for drinking over the bank holiday weekend and cathing up with great friends, especially Jenni, who is always there to hold my hair back!

Right so Tuesday was a very nervous day for me...... I went to the Absolute raidio station to meet Christain O'Connell, Richie and the lovely Maggie for an interview in being part of the Flab 4. I finally arrived at around 7.30 after walking round in circles in Leicester Square (lost) with my stomach in nots. When I went in I met Russ (the first of the Flab 4) and his son Jordan, who is the most fantastic little 7 year old lad with the brain of any decent teenager, and proves it by being the lad on Stump the show.

Maggie took us upstairs and finally the rest of the Flab 4 turned up so we got introduced and got chatting. What a nice bunch of lads. All of us are rugby fans, so we have at least 2 things in common, obvioulsy the first being in a weight lossing competition!

So not going to go into the interview as you can see it on

http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/onair/breakfast/features/belly-off.html

So I came out of there feeling refreshed and with plenty of get up and go! I am very much looking forward to the next few months and seeing a good change in every part of my life.

Day 5

Well day 4 and all well. Forgot breakfast, so have only just managed to get soemthign to eat and to be honest, a tiny bit of chicken and loads of lettice hasn't really hit the mark, however, I haven't even thought of chocolate....till now!

Tonight will be interesting as am going down the club to sort things out for tomorrow so will see if I fail!

Thursday, 26 August 2010

Day 4

At a client today and I am starving, wish I never had those glasses of wine now as it has made me really hungry. Meeting tonight at club so will hopefully be able to have something before I get there if not I might be tempted!

Day 3 evening - Oops fell of wagon

Well what a disaster yesterday was, really good during the day but had a Executive meeting at the Lib club and went straight onto the wine. Not only am i disapointed I feel rough as well.

Wednesday, 25 August 2010

Day 3 midday

Oh crumbs, my head is spinning, I am hungry and there is shite loads of crap snacks on Andrea's desk shouting "Eat me Kimmie"

The lettice and fetta salad didn't do the trick, I am hungry and fed up hhuummppppphhh. So in good old fashioned Britsh style, I have boiled the kettle and made myself a cuppa instead.

Day 3

Well apart from staying up till 1.30 am last night trying to sort out the Alexander Devine Charity event that is being held on Saturday at the Liberal club, all in all yesterday went quite well.

Yesterday I discovered fat free vanilla yohgat with pro what-dumi-things in it along with fresh grapes for when I want a sweet munch and also that when I fancied something with a bit of flavour, a large pot of mixed fresh olives with fresh chillis took the edge off....... Kind of.

So this morning had breakfast and feel really sluggish now. Actually so sluggish that i wish i could just go back to my bed! Oh well.

I wonder how the others are doing? All i know is that losing is not an option and the big weigh in is on Tuesday! I want to be under 14 stone for this as for some reason in the last 4 weeks I have put on nearly 13lb. Actually I know the reasons, drinking and eating crap in large ammounts.

Well best go have to work and got a few things to do today.

Please pass this blog onto your friends and I hope that you all support me during this time.

Cheers

Kimmie x

Day 2 in the morning

Haven't got my usual morning craving for Latte and Red Bull shot today, somethign to do with the 2 bowls of Special K Sustain that I ate which are rather sweet and salty. Not to sure it's going to stay down either, oh well that will stop me from wanting to eat anything else before lunch time.

Right, best continue doing these exams for work.

Day One part 2

Well it wasn't so bad before I needed a ciggie then I get the urge for a lager at the same time! However I managed to stop myself and go straight home after a rather unsuccesful shoping trip to Tescos. So on the menu tomorrow and the rest of this week is chicken and salad mmmmmmmm. Cant wait.

I wish that I could remember being out on Saturday night, it feels like I haven't been out for ages :-( Oh well, bring on Xmas! Must get my arse into gear to arrange an Xmas night out with the girls, surely a new dress will be in order.

Just realised, not to sure why I went out and brought all those cloths from Next during the week, there not going to fit soon, ho hum only a few hundred quid.

Right, think I will sleep through my evening cravings,

Night Night

Day one...... so far

Ggggrrrroooooowwwwwwlllllllll.

Desperate for my normal caffine hit of a coffee with a Red Bull chaser. So from now till october ! am booze free. I'm fine, I can do it, I can put my social life on hold eeekkkkk!

Getting ready for day 1

OK so this weekend was my final bender before the Belly Off Challenge begins against Richie, the producer of the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio. There are 4 of us in race to lose more weight than Richie between now and Xmas........... and failure is not an option! Collectively we will be known as the Flab 4. My reasoning behind doing the competition is obviously cause I'm a fatty bum bums and needs to lose weight but I recently became single. After one of the worse dates of my life I decided that losing weight may get me a slightly higher standard of man!

Things need to change. So in good old fashioned Kim style, I did a binge session that started on Friday evening with my friend Laura at the Criterion, a BBQ at mine with Jenni, Jessie and Mosey on Saturday followed by another trip to the Criterion with Jenni where I ended up falling backwards on the floor taking Spuddie with me. Class!

Now it's Sunday and the last day before I have to get my life in order and start the challenge, so have decided to get myself organised for the week ahead. My summer holiday has now been changed from Turkey to GI Jane Boot Camp in 2 weeks time (which I need to book on pay day but have reserved), to help me get in the correct mind set and to enable myself to get the best results I possibly can in the time frame. So from now on the cider, lager, vodka, wine, tequila and sambucca are out and the berry juice is in.

With the money saved from not drinking I will go towards a two week holiday over Xmas, location to be decided.

Speak tomorrow when no doubt I will be hanking for a curry from The Saffron, chocolate bar, bag of crisps and a pint with Jen!

PS had a massive Galaxy bar, 2 packets of Monster Munch and a Chinese

PPS Sorry for the falling over last night Andy & Jenni, Windsor thought there had been an earthquake!
